Evidence Storage Policy
Last updated 2026-06-25 · How emergency evidence is captured, protected, and accessed.
What is captured
When you trigger SOS we capture GPS breadcrumbs, optional audio, optional photo bursts/video, device info, battery and network state, and an event timeline.
Where it is stored
In a private, encrypted bucket. Access uses time-limited signed URLs. Files are write-once for the incident owner.
Who can access it
Only you, accounts you explicitly grant access to, and Bachao staff acting under a verified legal request. Every access is logged.
Tamper resistance
We compute content hashes at upload time, write events to an append-only audit log, and surface integrity checks in your Evidence Vault.
Retention
Default 24 months for evidence files, or longer if linked to an open legal matter. You may request earlier deletion.
This document is maintained by Bachao and reviewed periodically. Sections related to regulated activities require qualified legal review prior to launch in your jurisdiction.
